Newsletter: When presence speaks louder than noise — VOUW Autumn Update

This autumn brought unexpected recognition, strategic partnerships, and validation that people desire technology prioritizing human connection. The Bloomlight S earned the German Design Award in Furniture and Frame Awards 2025 shortlist recognition. The jury noted: 'The elegantly curved form and sensitive interaction lend the object an almost animate presence.' Introductory pricing starts at €5,000. The Poem Booth expanded to North America through Jackie Guscott MacAllen's distribution network. City Gazing completed its tenth installation in Aarhus (August 30–September 7), displaying 100 years of urban development above Bispetorv with custom soundscaping. Bloomlight S is now displayed at Margreeth Olsthoorn's Rotterdam boutique alongside premium fashion brands through December 2025. Dutch Design Week featured the collection at Eindhoven's Evoluon as part of Digital Futures programming. Houston's City Place Plaza hosts multiple VOUW installations (November 21–January 11): Chairwave, Poem Booth, and the Roast Booth—a humorous photographic twist. The partnership with Weingarten Art Group creates a public space emphasizing human connection. Brownys Event Productions rents Poem Booths across Europe, integrating poetry into corporate and festival events. Nick Bruynesteijn recognized alignment between his experiential philosophy and VOUW's approach to slowing technological engagement.
