VOUW proudly participated in Vivid Sydney 2024, marking our second appearance at this renowned festival. Following the success of last year's City Gazing and Bloomlight installations, this year we introduced Chairwave and Poem Booth. Chairwave: Connecting People at Waterman's Cove—Installed at Waterman's Cove, Chairwave featured a row of 15 interactive chairs overlooking the water. The installation became a popular spot, especially among children. The busy site often saw all seats occupied, sparking spontaneous conversations. Poem Booth: Creativity and Joy—Our three Poem Booths, showcased outdoors for the first time, were a major hit. They generated 23,541 poems during the festival, averaging 1,000 poems a day. Visitors queued up eagerly, taking group photos and sharing laughs as the booths crafted personalized, often humorous poems. The positive reception confirmed the resilience and appeal of our installations. Looking ahead, we plan to bring Chairwave and Poem Booth to more cities worldwide.
